23rd May, 2020 Dear friends of open water swimming, As Open water swimming in all its benefits grows at a phenomenal rate The Irish Long Distance Swimming Association [ILDSA] are undertaking a project to record the history and success of open water swimmers. Those who have swam a marathon open water swim distance of 10k or more in either togs or wetsuit, in all waters of the Island of Ireland. ILDSA and Channel season 2020 with current COVID-19 Coronavirus Public Health orders

If you have booked a North Channel Swim for 2020 season please contact your pilot for advice. Each swimmer should seek Government guidance on their management of Coronavirus COVID-19 especially on the points of travel and staying at home. ILDSA will extend the period for North Channel swim applications for 2020 and are monitoring the changing world and will update again in 4 weeks regarding North Channel swim applications. #staysafe #stayathome
